One of the current team of Editors, Lin Perry, will be stepping down in 2015. Therefore we are seeking applications for the position to complete a team of five Editors within one of the leading international nursing journals. The Journal of Advanced Nursing (JAN) is an international, peer-reviewed scientific journal which contributes to the advancement of evidence-based nursing, midwifery and healthcare by disseminating high quality research and scholarship of contemporary relevance and with potential to advance knowledge for practice, education, management or policy. Established in 2012, the purpose of the award is to recognize outstanding achievements or contributions by an editor in pursuit of excellence in nursing publication. The award will be presented at INANE 2015 in Las Vegas. Nominations are now being accepted until April 17, 2015. Click here to learn more and nominate an outstanding editor.
At the INANE 2014 meeting in Portland, INANE members discussed writing a collaborative document on open access and predatory publishing issues. The Directory of Nursing Journals, a long-standing resource sponsored by Nurse Author & Editor, is now housed at the INANE website! A joint collaboration between NA&E and INANE, the directory has been completely updated. In addition, there is an easy-to-use form to send updates or request a new journal listing. INANE is an international collaborative – a collective of nursing editors and publishers
focused on meeting the practice, research and education needs of the nursing profession. Our primary mission is to promote best practices in publishing and high standards in the publishing of nursing journals, books, and Web-based literature.
Each year in July or August INANE holds an international conference hosted by a volunteer member. Conferences are held at least every third year in a location other than North America.
