In 2018, INANE established the Nursing Journal Hall of Fame to recognize journals with 50 or more years of sustained excellence in publication. Journals are evaluated and inducted into the Hall of Fame at the annual meeting of INANE.
For the Inaugural Year, there were 13 journals inducted into the Hall of Fame. Long-time editor and INANE member Shirley Smoyak provided funding for the awards that were presented to the journal editors and publishers. Journals inducted that year were:
